I'm almost always selling off 3 or 4 of them as I surface with the amulet. It seems like they're on every other stinking level. Now, counter that with the commonality of stylus's. If you are lucky enough to get an enchantment that you really want to keep, you don't dare upgrade it any further because you're so unlikely to ever see that enchantment (or any other enchantment really) again. It's stinkin' hard to explore the wonderful dynamics they can create because you essentially only get one or maybe two per run, and the more you upgrade the less likely you are to keep it. wells of transmutations are so rare and upgrade scrolls are so precious that they can be a once per game gamble (which is likely to be ereased an upgrade or two later). they're some of the most fun you can have in a game. While a blinding weapon with reach or a stunning weapon that strikes quickly. The eldritch enchantment makes me want to scream and the blazing enchantment makes me wanna cry.
